2006-2007

UMW wins Virginia Rugby Union's Division II. The team is the #1 seed for the Mid-Atlantic Division II tournament.

UMW wins the Sportsmanship Award at the Ed & Sandy Lee Tournament (the Virginia Rugby Union championship).

Erin Ridout and Liz Schumacher represent UMW as VRU All-Stars.


2005-2006

UMW wins Virginia Rugby Union's Division II. The team is the #2 seed for the Mid-Atlantic Division II tournament.

Catherine Easterling, Renee Liers, Heather McKenzie, Erin Ridout and Andrea Wyatt represent UMW as VRU All-Stars.

UMW wins the Mid-Atlantic championship, advancing to the Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championships in Sanford, Florida

UMW loses Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Quarterfinals, but wins in the consolation round.

UMW finishes 5th in the nation in USA Rugby's Women's Collegiate Division II.


2004-2005

UMW wins Virginia Rugby Union's Division II. The team is the #1 seed for the Mid-Atlantic Division II tournament.

Katie Miller, Emily Newton, Erin Ridout, Andrea Wyatt and Marie Zezula represent UMW as VRU All-Stars.

UMW finishes 2nd in the Mid-Atlantic championship, advancing to the Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championships in Santa Cruz, California.

UMW wins Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Quarterfinals, but loses in the semifinals.

UMW finishes 3rd in the nation in USA Rugby's Women's Collegiate Division II.

Catherine Easterling and Katie Miller are selected to the Mid-Atlantic U23 All-Star Team

UMW has its forth All-American as flanker Katie Miller is selected to the Collegiate All-American Second Team.

Ashley Horne and Kim Woods represent MWC as VRU All-Stars

MWC wins the Mid-Atlantic championship, advancing to the Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championships in Bowling Green, Ohio.

MWC wins Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Quarterfinals, but loses in the semifinals.

MWC finishes 3rd in the nation in USA Rugby's Women's Collegiate Division II.


2002-2003

Gillian Sciacca represents MWC as a VRU All-Star

MWC All-American Liz King is selected to the Collegiate All-American Team for the third time.

2000-2001

Susie Hobbs, Ashley Horne, Liz King represent MWC as Virginia Rugby Union All-Stars.

MWC wins the Referee Society of Virginia Sportsmanship Award.

Liz King represents MWC as a Mid-Atlantic Under-23 All-Star

MWC All-American Liz King is selected to the Collegiate All-American Second Team for the second time.

In the Spring, MWC finishes 3rd in the Division II Mid-Atlantic Rugby Championships

In the summer, Liz King represents MWC as a MARFU 7s player.


1999-2000

MWC wins Virginia Rugby Union's Division II. The team is the #1 seed for the Mid-Atlantic Division II tournament.

Ari Bensusan, Tammy Coffey, Liz King, Nicole McIntyre, Sara Prudoff-Smith represent MWC as Virginia Rugby Union All-Stars.

Liz King represents MWC as a Mid-Atlantic Under-23 All-Star

In the Spring, MWC finishes 2nd in the Division II Mid-Atlantic Rugby Championships

MWC has its third All-American as fullback Liz King is selected to the Collegiate All-American Second Team.



1998-1999

In the Fall, MWC's first year in Division II, the team is very successful. The team is the Virginia Rugby Union's #1 seed for the Mid-Atlantic tournament.

MWC wins the Referee Society of Virginia Sportsmanship Award.

MWC wins the Mid-Atlantic championship, advancing to the Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championships.
MWC wing Heather Walsh is selected MARFU tournament MVP.

MWC has its second All-American as winger Heather Walsh is selected to the Collegiate All-American Second Team.

MWC hosts the Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championships, finishing fourth.


1997-1998

MWC wins the Referee Society of Virginia Sportsmanship Award.

Kerri Barile leaves the coaching staff at the end of the school year.

In the spring, Number 8 Jill Reilly becomes the first MWC player to be selected as a Collegiate All-American.


1996-1997

Ex-player Kerri Barile joins to assist with the coaching.

MWC wins the Sportsmanship Award at the Ed & Sandy Lee Tournament (the Virginia Rugby Union championship).

1995-1996

MWC wins the Referee Society of Virginia Sportsmanship Award.


1994-1995

MWC hosts the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Territorial collegiate women and clubwomen tournament.

MWC wins the Referee Society of Virginia Sportsmanship Award.


1993-1994

Ed & Sandy Lee Tournament (the Virginia Rugby Union championship) is cancelled, MWC hosts a women's collegiate "make-up" tournament.


1992-1993

MWC finishes second in the state, losing to James Madison University


1991-1992

Rob Beilfus and Skip Francis leave the program. Kris Kabza joins the coaching staff.

MWC finishes third in the state.


1990-1991

Rob "Blahma" Beilfus joins the coaching staff.


MWC wins its first Virginia Rugby Union Collegiate Women's championship defeating James Madision University 8-4 in sudden death overtime with a try by flanker Felicia Baxter.

Skip Francis joins to assist Bill Lucas.


1988-1989

Grant Woodwell steps down and Bill Lucas takes over as head coach.

The MWC Women's Rugby Club is founded by Diana Schwerha & Claire Novak. Their first coach is Xxx X Xxxx.
